So my dad just had surgery on his shoulder . He has been in pain for a while now and when he was in Canada all summer he worked so hard building anything he could build , helping us for three straight months but I think we can all agree that it did not help his shoulder at all .
So dad has been home for three whole days now after his surgery and he is getting very bored because he should not do any pysical exercises.... doctors orders . And for our dad that is very very difficult - this is a man that just has no idea how to relax . He retired and after retirement got 4 part time jobs :o) so we knew it would be hard for him to relax .
The story goes that mum went to work today - had meals made for dad and everything laid out that he would need for the day . Then dad decides that he is going to go for a walk to town . The only thing is that he is not wearing any socks . Dad is sitting there thinking . He can't get his socks on with one arm not working . He goes to Christina next door and rings the door bell " maybe she can help " Christina or Magne were not home ( and they were very lucky because dad has not had a pedicure in a long time ) so dad was thinking ... what now ?? So he goes up to the street , sat down on the steps and waited ... for what you ask . Dad was waiting for anyone to help him with his socks . So this poor lady , minding her own business ended up helping my dad with his socks ( God bless it must have been a horrible experience ) my dad pleased as punch got to go for his walk to town . My sister and I are so happy that mum helped him get dressed before she left for work . But next time mum make sure he has his socks on .
